Outbound Lighting Detour Road and Gravel Bike Headlight

Automotive-inspired lighting. Exceptional road visibility. Considerate illumination for everyone sharing the road.

The Outbound Lighting Detour is a premium handlebar-mounted bicycle headlight designed specifically for road cycling, gravel riding, commuting, and touring.

Unlike traditional bicycle lights that project an unrestricted beam, the Detour uses an automotive-inspired cutoff beam pattern similar to a modern vehicle's low-beam headlights. This directs illumination onto the road ahead while reducing unnecessary glare toward oncoming cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists.

The result is a more controlled, road-friendly lighting experience that makes nighttime cycling safer and more comfortable for everyone.

Automotive-inspired cutoff optics

The Detour's distinctive cutoff beam creates a sharp upper boundary that helps prevent light from shining directly into the eyes of approaching road users.

Its wide, carefully engineered beam illuminates the road from the front tire to the rider's line of sight, while providing useful peripheral visibility along road edges and shoulders.

With approximately 1100–1200 lumens of output, the Detour delivers impressive road illumination without relying on an uncontrolled high-intensity spotlight.

Designed for road cycling, gravel and commuting

Whether you're commuting through urban streets, exploring rural roads, riding unlit country lanes, or embarking on a multi-day bikepacking adventure, the Detour provides dependable illumination in a compact, self-contained package.

Its integrated battery eliminates external battery packs and unnecessary wiring, while USB-C pass-through charging allows you to connect a compatible power bank for extended rides.
